What Are FSA and HSA Funds?
FSAs and HSAs are pre-tax accounts that allow you to set aside money for qualified medical expenses. These funds are managed by your employer or plan administrator and are governed by IRS guidelines. Some important items to know are:
- An FSA or HSA accounts belongs to you
- Eligibility of a "medically-oriented" service is determined by your plan administrator
- Services do not qualify automatically, and must be deemed necessary by your licensed medical provider. In some cases, your plan administrator may require a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) from your provider.
What Does It Mean That We “Accept” FSA/HSA?
There is no certification or approval process for PURE to “accept” FSA or HSA funds.

- These receipts can be submitted to your FSA/HSA provider for reimbursement
- In some cases, guests may choose to use an FSA/HSA debit card at checkout
Eligibility and reimbursement decisions are always made by your plan administrator, not the spa. PURE cannot determine eligibility, or approve a service for reimbursement by your FSA/HSA plan. It is your responsibility to confirm if a service if eligible with your individual plan.
